Моя работа – поиск трудноуловимых форм сопротивления.

Я задаю вопросы, касающиеся отношений, которые связывают физически детерминированные границы тела с властью и системами контроля. С помощью данного перформанса я задаю вопрос, как внутреннее и внешнее детерминированы на уровне исключительно тела, политического тела и, более широко, философского тела.

В эпоху, когда биополитическая организация тела достигает уровня молекулы, может ли освобождение (взаимозависимое и пока еще невообразимое состояние) стать предметом наших поисков? Как можно противостоять желанию капитулировать?

Адриана Дисман – перформерка, мыслительница и писательница. С 2010 года ее сольные работы были представлены на многочисленных фестивалях и в галереях по всей Канаде, США, Европе и Индии. В настоящее время она живет в Лондоне, где пишет докторскую степень по перформативному искусству.

My practice is the search for subtle modes of resistance.

I ask questions concerning the relationship between the ways in which the physically determined limits of the body are tied to power and systems of control. With this performance, I ask how the inside and outside are determined–at the level of the singular body, the body politic, and a larger philosophical body.

In an era when the biopolitical organization of the body reaches all the way to the level of the molecular, how can liberation (an interdependent and as yet un-imagined state) be sought? How can we resist the urge to capitulate?

Adriana Disman is a performance art maker, thinker, and writer. Since 2010, her solo work has been presented at numerous festivals and galleries across Canada, the United States, Europe, and India. Disman’s theoretical writing on performance can be found in both academic and arts publications. She also gives guest lectures and workshops regularly.
